Stuart- The Owner and Trainer

Stuart came into fitness later in life and is passionate about enabling and encouraging people of all ages to participate and learn to enjoy weightlifting, which is why he created "Sound Fitness". His goal has always been and remains to be a personal training business that delivers both results and provides a high level of customer service and satisfaction you expect from someone with an extensive career in hospitality. 

He has a wealth of life experience that allows him to empathize with people who are struggling, who are intimidated by the gym environment, or who are just getting started on a new fitness journey, even if they considering starting later in life. He enjoys strength and conditioning training along with seeing the joy clients get from seeing and feeling the benefits of training at the studio.

He qualified as a master personal trainer and nutrition coach Level 4 Coach European Institute of Fitness in 2016 and obtained a Boxing pad work qualification, after spending 30 years in the hospitality industry. His previous career in senior roles and with famous high street casual dining brands, and his experience as a food development chef for many years helped him to offer practical advice on nutrition and home cooking, so he is always happy to chat about food with clients.

He believes that to make weightlifting a way of life for people they need to first enjoy it, which is why he has surrounded himself with a team of trainers that also embrace this ethos. He is proud of the team and the way they achieve long-lasting body transformations for both new and loyal long-term clients. He enjoys training one to one personal training and running the strength and conditioning classes.

Joseph - Our Head Trainer

Since gaining his Level 3 Personal Training qualification 8 years ago, Joseph has continued his professional development by most recently obtaining pre- and post-Natal, Exercise Referral, Understanding Nutrition and Health, and Coaching Olympic Lifting qualifications. As well as gaining valuable experience training clients with varying different needs including fat loss, strength training, power and sport-specific training, and more.

As Head Trainer of Sound Fitness, Joseph takes great pride in helping to ensure every client that walks through the doors gets the best results they possibly can. He enjoys coaching, supporting, and developing the rest of the personal training team to provide consistently high standards of personal training both one-to-one and during our strength and conditioning classes.

With a background in professional sports, Joseph is big on consistency and accountability, as well as making exercise enjoyable and tailored to each client. He looks forward to introducing people to and training people how to execute Olympic lifts as we head into 2025

Winston

Born and raised in London from an young age it all started with sports for him football; working part of team building a winning mentality next was boxing/kick boxing which gave him the discipline learning how to control and channel his energy and last weight lifting which was a different challenge but was well equipped with the skills he learned throughout he fitness journey to strive and search for the best version of himself, falling in love with how he would feel after working out and the changes physically and mentally. 

Winston is a dedicated and experienced Personal Trainer who has qualified in Padwork and Abs and Core. He has a passion for helping clients achieve their fitness goals, he has an abundance of positive energy to motivate you and keep you on track towards your goals getting the best results. 

He is fully supportive, committed and driven to transform your lifestyle getting the best version of you.

Laura

Laura has been a Level 3 qualified Personal Trainer for over 5 years, and has specialised in natal training after obtaining a Pre and Postnatal Qualification. After being hospitalised for 9 months and building her own fitness up from scratch, she wanted to help others do the same, no matter their ability or fitness level.

Laura has a background in hybrid training and has competed in multiple sports and fitness competitions along the way such as Hyrox Pro, Superhuman Games, Athx Games, Ride 100, Swim serpentine 2 miler along with many more.

Her ethos in her coaching is for performance, functionality and to make clients the very best versions of themselves. Her coaching style is no-nonsense. She believes that there are no short cuts and that fitness should be a lifestyle. Be prepared to work hard, have fun and achieve things you didn’t think possible.

Chev

Chev is a passionate personal trainer dedicated to helping clients achieve their fitness goals. Having qualifications specialising in cycling, boxing and bootcamps, he also is a qualified nutrition adviser obtaining Level 3. Chev’s love for fitness and sports, particularly football and combat sports, has shaped his approach to training. He believes in the power of a well-rounded fitness routine that not only builds strength but also enhances overall well-being.

Chev’s strengths include Body Recomposition; Transforming the body by reducing fat and building muscle to achieve a leaner, more defined physique. Strength Training and Conditioning; Developing tailored programs to increase strength, endurance, and overall athletic performance. Stretch and Mobility; Incorporating flexibility and mobility exercises to improve range of motion, prevent injuries, and enhance recovery.

Whether clients are looking to get stronger, improve their athletic performance, or simply feel better within themselves, Chev is there to guide them every step of the way. Together, they can work to unlock full potential and achieve the desired results.

Brett

Brett is a trainer with over 5 years of experience. He specialises in full body workouts that help people improve their strength, mobility and cardiovascular endurance. Brett has helped people reach various fitness goals over the years including weight loss, building muscle and injury rehabilitation.

 

Corina

Corina is a Level 2 & 3 qualified Personal Trainer. Her passion for health and fitness started 5 years ago after becoming a mother where, like many, she found comfort in food. Her weight and physical health started declining and therefore she decided to take back control of her life by starting her fitness journey.

Fuelled by her newly found passion and knowledge she started competing in Body Building competitions, she has competed within NPC and PCA finishing in top places. Her experience competing gave her the opportunity to learn from top coaches and athletes expanding her knowledge in the field further. 

After her last show she decided to qualify as a Personal Trainer giving her the opportunity to support others on their own fitness goals, helping them to feel confident and strong within their own physique in an achievable and sustainable way.
